Hi all! Finally got a power supply for my 424 mk3. i turned it on , and the tape spindle keeps spinning. stop or play do not work. Where should I begin troubleshooting?

There is a mechanical problem with the transport or something more serious. If it was as simple as opening it up and discovering what was wrong you would have already done so. It might need to be diagnosed by a Technician
