Hi
I have recently bought a pair of Mackie 4cr monitor speakers and would like to add a sub woofer.
To be honest i m not sure how to do this with the tascam dp 24sd ,I was hoping someone else might know.
I think the Mackie s are very good but lack a bit of bottom end punch.
Thanks in advance.
Tyros.

This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error.

I can only answer relative to how the Yamaha HS series integrate a subwoofer. If you scroll down to Page 10 of the following PDF - you'll see that with this Yamaha product line... the Tascam monitor outputs feed a set of inputs on the subwoofer - then 2 outputs send the left and right monitor signal to the left and right monitor speakers from the subwoofer.

Hi guys
If I am understanding this .(most likely not).
I have to plug the Mackie cr4 s into the sub woofer ,not the tascam dp24sd.
The sub woofer will then deal mostly with the bass ,and the Mackie cr4 s
will deal with the Mid and top range .
Hope I have got that ,because I thought I might have to get some kind of speaker
distribution box or some such device.
Thanks guys
Tyros.

That's the way I understand it.

Run the Tascam monitor outs to the subwoofer inputs - and then connect CR4's to the outputs of the subwoofer. Subwoofer handles the low end and passes the mid and high range portion of the signal to the CR4's.

Keep in mind - I have not tried this type of setup. But it looks to me like that's how the connections are made.

Thank you for the info guys.
You are right ,the sub woofer has the sockets for the monitors.
So no need for extra distribution boxes .
Just need to find a good but cheap sub woofer, now the battle begins lol.
Thanks again guys.
