Purchasing and getting used to using the RC-3F (3-way footswitch) peddle for my Tascam dp-03 was definitely one of the best moves I've made since I started using the Tascam.At 50 dollars, it may seem like a lot but it's not.And besides, if you look around online you'll eventually run across the peddle for an even lower price.Besides totally eradicating the "clunk"! when you don't have the input knobs turned down when you're recording using the 2 built-in mics, it's just a whole lot easier to use your foot for rewinding, stop, pause, play, recording which frees up your hands for playing your instrument.And of course for punching in and out.
For those who haven't got the footswitch yet for whatever reason, it's something you should definitely think about doing.I don't know why they just don't include it in the first place and just up the price a bit.I mean it's pretty essential for those of us that want to make our music sound the best we can.Have a good one!
