Assign stereo out to ADAT out back to Motu 828 MKII

yes (but you need the latest firmware which is 2.10). You can select "Stereo" as the feed for any of the digital outs (TDIF 1-3, the adat out runs parallel to TDIF3). I'm running my DM24 this way since the SPDIF in on my soundcard died. Now I use one of the adat outs to route the stereo signal back to my DAW.

The screen to make this adustment is I/O - OUTPUT.
