DM24
Hi Guys,

Just new here on this forum.
Recently I bought a Tascam DM24 digital mixer and got a question about it. On the backside of the mixer their are three Tdif ports. Can I use these Tdif connection to use a RME Bob 16i to create 16 more inputs on this mixer? Or is it better to use the Adat ports?

With best regards,

Hi Gert!

The Bob is just a "simple" Breakout-Box whereas the TDIF ports on the DM24 carry a digital signal.
You could use up to three Tascam MA-AD8 to get more Inputs or a MOTU 2408.
Another (cheaper) option would be to connect a Behringer ADA8000 via ADAT.

Hi MaxK,

Thanks for the reply.
As you mentioned I just ordered a Behringer ADA 8200, this to create more inputs that I need. To bad that the RME Bob16i doesn't work with the three Tdif ports. But that's not a problem for now.

Best regards,

Gert Blank

Hi Gert!

Sounds like a good choice, I'd love to hear how the ADA8200 performs!

Cool thing is, you can also sync the Behringer via ADAT, no need for a separate BNC-cable.
