Looks like the ADAT card does not do 4 channels of 96K like the built in ADAT port will. Can someone confirm this. I searched the archive but could not find a definitive answer. Thanks

NO and I just found this out recently when I purchased the Focusrite Clarett Octopre last month. I was under the impression I could use the internal ADAT and the ADAT expansion card to get 96khz across all 8 channels however it doesn’t work and won’t since the expansion card only supports 44.1/48khz. The way I got around it was by using the internal ADAT ports on each of my cascaded DM3200’s. It works flawlessly but was disappointed that such an expensive expansion card doesn’t support all the sample rates the console is capable of. Major fail in my opinion. Luckily my expansion card came free with one of my DM3200’s so no loss. However, the card is completely useless if you’re someone like me who records projects at 88.2 or 96khz exclusively.

As far as this information being documented, it is on page 45 of the DM3200 manual.

In addition, when you check SLOT information screen for the ADAT expansion card, it will tell you 44.1/48kHz are only supported when the console is configured for 88.1 or 96kHz.
