High frequency noise

I'm trying to figure out how to lower or filter the recording. I'm using the DR-40 PCM recorder with my Yamaha Stagepass. I'm using karaoke tracks from computer and microphones. The singing on the mics is good. The digital music once recorded sounds like birds in the room. LoL. Any advice would be appreciated.
