I'm thinking of buying one to replace my aging VF-160. My concern is whether or not the AISO build of Audacity will be able to see the 8 track input. I have zero experience with these interfaces, so pardon my ignorance if this has already been addressed elsewhere.
First, assuming the AISO build is able to see the inputs, how does it sense them? IOW, by virtue of my having installed the 16X08 software, does that make the 8 output signals visible to Audacity?
Second, is there a need for a particular type of sound card, or is a standard sound card sufficient?
