IF-FW/DM MK 2 Firewire card : Just one connectin?

I have the IF-FW/DM MK 2 Firewire card installed in my DM-4800. Do I still have to hook up the USB cable to my Mac running Digital Performer 8? Do I just need the one firewire cable to make it all happen, or both USB & Firewire? Thanks.

Firewire passes audio and - if desired - midi data. USB is for HUI, TMC, and Remote machine (transport) control.

If you don't need to use the Remote layer, care to operate your DAW/device from the DM's transport, nor utilize TMCompanion, don't bother with USB.
