Mixdown not recording properly

hi, im trying to mixdown a few tracks ive recorded on my 008ex, but when i hit record on the mixdown screen it says "not stopped" and wont record. it says the same thing regardless of whether the track is stopped or not. any thoughts/help is appreciated

nevermind, i got it to work. i still dont fully understand since its not consistent, but i dont think its broken which is good.
