Here's a recent track recorded with the DP24, which I recently purchased for about $350 or so. I used mostly dynamic mikes on this session, the most expensive of which was an SM-7B which I used for the drums along with a 70's vintage Unidyne on the snare. The bass and keyboard were direct-in. I got that keyboard for $100 on Craigslist. The only other mike I used for this tune was an $8 Pyle PDMIK1, which I bought because it had great isolation from the back. Since I had no GOBOs, or any isolation of any kind in the room, I needed that for the vibes. I was amazed at the sound I got, that's a PERFECT mike for vibes. Listen to how bright they are, I did no EQ whatsoever on them.
I later added the vocal with a Studio Projects C1 which I bought off e-bay for $80. I mixed it using Audacity
The Harry Wilson Quartet
Harry Wilson: Vibes
Dan Davis: Bass
Steve Rabson: Keyboards
Pat Bergin: Drums/Vocals
