Hi everyone - I have a M-164 mixer/interface that's been the backbone of my studio. It's worked seamlessly with my 2011 MacBook Pro, but I recently upgraded to a Mac Mini, which only has USB 3.0 inputs. Here's the problem: I only have 2 audio inputs from the M-164U available (instead of the supported 10) in Logic, and even after reinstalling the latest driver, the mixer believes its plugged into an unsupported USB 1.1 port. It seems like it "sees" anything that isn't USB 2.0 as 1.1.
Can anyone recommend any solution here? Apple maintains that it's a driver problem, which is probably correct. TASCAM itself won't even respond to my emails for this 5-year-old and therefore completely obsolete product.
Does anyone else have a M-164U working properly in a USB 3.0 port? How'd you do it? I really don't want to replace this mixer, which I love when it works.
