UH-7000
Hi all, I'm new to this forum. I'm trying to reamp guitars through my Tascam UH-7000. I'm recording the direct sound through a DOD direct box, into the tascam's mic in, into my windows 7 machine running cubase LE. The dry signal sounds fine as far as I can tell. To send it back out, I take it out of the analog out XLR (being sure to pan the dry signal all the way to that side in cubase) and put it into a Radial JCR passive reamp box, then out from that into my amp. The sound coming out of the amp doesn't sound very good at all, and when I mic the amp and record it back through the tascam into cubase, it sounds really harsh and fizzy. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Soundcloud clips are linked below. One clip is the recorded reamp'd sound (50s vibe tele into a 70s Fender silver face champ), and the other is just my guitar and amp mic'd as per normal with a shure sm57. Does anyone have experience reamping with the UH7000? Thanks!
