Hello. I purchased a Tascam Porta05 from olx which is faulty (I did not know this). The first defect observed was that it was not engaging the play mechanism, I fixed this malfunction (the broken plastic that held the spring in tension).
The second defect: on all 4 channels, there is a hum (more precisely a triangle-ish form of low frequency and 8vpp) is heard without any tape playing. If I insert a signal in LINE IN sounds perfectly. The mixer works perfectly (pan, eq etc). I deduced it came from the pre-amp on the deck. At a visual inspection do not seem swollen capacitors, it is quite clean. The voltages are steady.
Where did you propose me to forget.
