Spidf in and out digital effect

Hello fellow Tascam DM users, I would like to know can hardware effects with 24 bit spidf be routed as inserts and sends in the digital domain?

Yup! Use one of the two digital inputs and outputs, and configure / set the i/o to SPDIF on the DIGITAL / FORMAT screen (owners manual page 51) - and then set up the insert or aux on the ROUTING / INSERT, INPUT and OUTPUT screens (owners manual page 59).

Sweet… I think u will find the DM is super flexible for stuff like this. Take the time to read thru the manual about the screens u don’t understand - once you set different stuff up a few times it’ll all make sense and then you are stunned how flexible the board is.
