tascam 4800 firewire card is not showing up in the my mac sound card list it says the selected divice has no output controls

Are you running the IF/FW Beta driver, or the driver from the website? And what Mac OS are you running?

BETA DRIVER YES THE ONE THAT CAME WITH
OSX 10.7.5

FOUND MY PROBLEM THANKS HAD TO UPDATE ALL DRIVERS, RESET ALL EQUIPMENT TO GET SOUND WORKING WE ARE UP AN RUNNUNG NOW THANKS TO ALL. AND HERE IS THE DOWNLOAD LINK !!!!!!!IF ANYONE NEEDS !!!!!SOVLED ALL OUR PROBLEMS....
