Tascam dr-05

Hello,
I have a small question to ask;
When using effects, whats the difference between setting it on input or output?
I cant get that.

I no longer have a DR-05 but as I recall:

If SOURCE is set to Output, reverb is applied to the playback signal. Reverb is not applied to the raw input and reverb is not recorded.

If SOURCE is set to Input, reverb is applied to the input signal and the mix of the raw input and reverb is recorded.
