Tascam US16x08 mic inputs with synths?

I want to know if it is ok to use the mic inputs (xlr) with my synthesizers!

Better not just like that. Even if there would be no damage (of which I'm not sure) you'd have a hard time getting an acceptable sound, since with a normal synth's line level you will be overloading the inputs for sure.

It is possible though to use the mic inputs, but with a DI-box inbetween. That's exactly the device designed for this.

inputs 9 through 16 are line level, use them. inputs 9 and 10 have preamps so if your signal is too hot then use the inputs from 11 to 16. check if your synths have balanced or unbalanced outputs and set the tascam switches accordingly
