US-1800 distortion on Mac running Sierra

US-1800
I recently upgraded my computer to a MacMini running Sierra 10.12.4. So I had to upgrade my US-1800 drivers too.

Since doing this, the audio coming out of my interface is very muddy and distorted. In a few instances it has also just cut out completely and I had to restart the US-1800.

Does anyone have an idea why this might be happening and how I can remedy the situation?

Thanks for any ideas.

I don't have any suggestions on remedies, but I'm stuck on a more basic question:

How have you even been getting the US-1800 to talk to Sierra (10.12.5) in the first place? I just tried doing everything I can think of to get mine working (uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, etc.) but nothing seems to work.

I'll also be curious if anyone finds a solution to the problems that its having with distortion though. Sorry if this should have been its own thread.
