Us 2x2 problem

I am trying to record the audio output of some of my tracks in cubase 5 to wavelab 6 using a tascam us 2x2 interface but having no luck-have also tried recording in audacity wasapi mode and ditto.
Ive done this loads of times before i got the tascam and had a pc card.I know I can render the tracks but I want a live mix
Pc is running windows 7
anyone ???

Why not live mix onto an empty stereo track in Cubase 5 first, and then import this file into Wavelab for further editing/mastering ?..

Thats good advice Vazza and I'll have a go but to be honest I'm getting so confused I'm thinking there might be something wrong with the unit.Do I need two seperate audio drivers to monitor cubase and record wavelab at the same time?
