Usb-4x4 use condenser and dynamic simultaneously?

Hi

I'm new to recording. I just got the USB 4X4, and I've got a condenser mic (Rode NT1A) and a dynamic (Shure SM58). I want to use both simultaneously - the Shure on my guitar and the Rode on my voice. The phantom power is turned on globally for all inputs - is that going to present a problem for my dynamic?

It shouldn't be a problem, IF you use correct cabling (XLR-XLR) and connect everything before switching phantom power on. On a different note; give them also a try with Shure on voice and Rode on guitar!

Thanks just what I was looking for. I was planning and changing up the mics to see what sound I could get. I imagine the dynamic could mask the overall crappiness of my voice and the rode could do great picking up the overall sloppiness of my guitar playing. True vintage sound.

Seriously though that is probably a better mic assignment.
