Using UH-7000 as Laptop USB Dac....How do i get the meters to register?

Im using my UH-7000 as my USB Laptop dac to use simply with my headphones for listening to music.
For some reason my channel meters do not register when the unit is being used even tho music is being played through the unit......so, how do i get the meters to function indicating that music is being played through the unit?

If you are referring to the meters on the front of the UH-7000...im pretty sure that those are for monitoring the input levels of your source and not for playback. Hope that helps!
