Hi all, about an firmware improvement for the Portacapture X8, so a variable low cut frequencie instead of a hard fixed 80Hz or 120Hz etc. A small modification but with great impact, without more CPU comsuption. Sincerly aure

(continuation of the other post) Auto Repair NO/EXIT on the screen and turning the machine back on after a while that the HD flashes everything stops and the writing reappears. I did a forced shutdown, restarted everything, unplugged, unplugged all the power, nothing. The writing remains as soon as it turns on. Now I ask you, what should I do? Can you give me an answer? Good evening, I'm Francesco Trotti, I work with a TASCAM Neo 2488. Yesterday afternoon while I was working, I connected the USB cable to insert a track into the fat, the problem is that while I was inserting the track and after having inserted it into the fat from the PC, the TASCAM went into a block writing, (next post follows because it's too long)

Ho fatto l'arresto forzato, il riavvio di tutto, staccato la spina, staccato tutta la corrente, nulla. Rimane la scritta appena si accende. Ora vi chiedo, cosa devo fare? Potete darmi una risposta? Buonasera, sono Francesco Trotti, lavoro con un Neo 2488 della TASCAM. Ieri pomeriggio mentre stavo lavorando, ho collegato il cavo usb per far inserire nella fat una traccia, il problema è che mentre stavo inserendo la traccia e dopo averla inserita nella fat dal pc, il TASCAM è andato in blocco scrivendo, (segue il prossimo post perchè troppo lungo)

Just got my DP24SD after not having used a TASCAM since the late 90's. Glad to join the club of TASCAM users around the world.

Tascam Porta One user. I just bought an old refurbed unit. Fingers crossed.

I started out using Garageband, but I got tired of dealing with software/hardware upgrades. Did my homework and decided to buy a DP-24SD to simplify my recording process. I've messed with it for 4+ years, but now I'm trying to get more serious about recording. Sing & play acoustic guitar (6, 12, and Nashville strung) & electric (Solo Guitar Tele knockoff). Also have outboard drum pad, keys and vocal processor.

Thanks so much Alan - I may be telling folks what they already know; After installing this new version, I still had the same symptoms - i.e. it looked like it was connecting, but would just hang. I noticed that in the folder you sent it had a file called 'clear preferences' and so I did that. It meant I had to create a new studio in MXView, and re-enter the IP addresses for my 3 machines, BUT it worked!

I don't think using the system will be difficult be me figuring out how to deliver it sort of is. Are you on windows or mac?

Outside Mariposa California setting up a studio. I guess the board is Snoop Dogg's from the 1990's. Tascam 38 not sure where it came from.
