2488MKII effects track assign

My brain is mush. I recorded an entire CD with this unit a few years ago and thought I had it down. Started some new songs and I can't seem to attach different effects to different tracks. It seems to be all or nothing. I must have switched a switch or something. I turned 70 this year so that might have something to do with it. Please some young intact brain help me out!

You can’t...one of the few drawbacks. Seems like u should be able too but u can only use 1 [single] effect. So any tracks that you’ve assigned and put single effect on will be that one effect type you’ve chosen
