Broken Cassette Lid-244 Mk2

Hi

I have a 244 mk11 which functions perfectly, however the cassette lid catch is broken and the lid therefore remains in the open position.

Is there any reasonably easy and cheap way of fixing this, either a hack or by obtaining a replacement part.

Ebay spares or repairs models are all too expensive to make it worthwhile.

Possible hacks, effectivity depending very much on wether you can lift the lid manually or not:
- Velcro tape on lid and inside cassette compartment.
- Double sided sticky tape.
- Small magnet and thin iron plate.
- Look in the DYI shop for tiny cupboard door 'catches', either magnetic or otherwise.

Many thanks for your reply. All great ideas...possibly avoid the magnets close to magnetic tape though.
