Can I use MainStage to control channel strip sounds in my model 12

I just bought a model 12 and I am been looking at mainstage as a signal processor. I don’t understand the ins and outs of usb interfacing with the model 12 to be clear about whether I can use mainstage for controlling sounds on multiple channel strips at the same time (ex. acoustic guitar effects on channel 1 and vocal effects on channel 2).
Perhaps this is a no brainer...New endeavor for me
