Cold boot; no firewire connection

Hello fellow DM users!
I was hoping someone can help me out with this:
Every time I cold boot into my Mac Pro 5.1 (first switch on the DM, after that the Mac) I can see the input meters running on the DM's meterbridge, but no sound.
After that I have to shut down the computer and DM, I disconnect and reconnect the firewire cable from the DM and move the cable to another slot in the Mac
Restart the DM and Mac again, after that all works normal......

Tried several new 400 to 800 new firewire cables; that doesn't help
Not a big problem, but it would be nice if someone has a solution ;-)

Hello. I'm sure you've probably tried already, but my setup requires that I turn on the computer first (Imac 2011) and then the DM 4800. They won't talk otherwise!

Hi Martin,
That's funny!
With me, it's the other way around! (I learned it that way)
For me that doesn't work ;-(
This morning I first swapped the firewire cable in another slot on the Mac and then turned on the DM and after that the Mac: that worked!
It seems my Mac starts to know me better these days
