DM-4800 USB Logic X problems

I am running Mac OS X 10.9 but it also did it in 10.8. The USB connection causes me issues when recording midi in Logic X, it seems to cause the midi to play the notes half speed, it then carries on play notes when Logic has stopped.

When I remove the USB cables connected to the DM-4800 it's fine.

Any ideas what it can be.

I would like to know how to get the DM-4800 to EQ the plugins and audio from Logic X

In addition how do you route the Audio from the daw and plugins to work with external effects
