DP-24 Delete Location Issue

just got a dp 24 and having an issue deleting a location. Was able to delete the start point, but the end point won't delete. Any ideas? Thanks!

Page 53 of the DP24 manualeleting a Location Mark: when you are at the (marked) end point, press the MARK SET button to delete the location.

Yeah I read the manual and tried that. It just adds a new location point. I press it again and it goes away, but the little red mark remains there.
It's kinda trivial and I can work around it...just wondered if there was something I was missing. Gettin it all figured out.
