Issues with syncing 238 with midiizer

Hello I'm trying to sync this Midiizer to my Tascam 238 no luck, I configured the cable's pins to match the pin sheet on the back of the manual, it doesn't do anything. The 238 ext sync light just blinks like it's not recieving anything at all is there any other type of documents out there that you know of. Or do you know what the problem might be? Please help if you can thanks.

Stepping through....

If your acc2 cable is correctly wired, the next thing to verify is that

1....you've wired up the two rca smpte cables (in/out) between 238 and mts1000

2. striped smpte onto trk8 of a tape at a good healthy level.

3. Upon hitting "play" on the 238 (while set for internal sync, not ext), you see the smpte code flashing by on the mts1000 screen.

Verify all that first.
