Model 12 Delay flam - seems broken?

I've noticed that when I use any of the delay effects, there is an initial flam sound (short delay) and then the delay I have set for the effect. So if I set a quarter note delay on a snare sound, I would expect to hear my snare, and a quarter note later, the first delay, but there is also a delay of the snare, right after the snare.

I can't find any setting to fix this.
It's very easy to reproduce as it happens in live mode, when or when not recording - it's always there.

If you set the delay time to 1000 (max) you should only hear one sound 1000ms after your snare, but there is the initial flam, and then the delay.

Are the delay effects broken?

So I just noticed there is a firmware update to fix this exact issue.
I didn't see any mention of firmware in the manual, but will update my unit pronto!
