Hello Tascam Forums! I need some hints on that one:
I recently upgraded to a 424 mkiii and it's a fine unit so far - besides one strange behaviour in transport. In 1 out of 10 times when I press play, the playhead does a little doubletake, meaning it moves towards the tape but jumps back down before it moves up again to play normally as expected. Sometimes it happens likewise with the stopp button, and sometimes it does that move even 3 or 4 times before starting to play or stop. I tried to capture that in a little video which shows the moment I hit the play button:
What could be the area to investigate on that?
