Recording 2 tracks, one source, dp24

Recently I tried arming 2 tracks with 1 mike input but when I play them back I can barely hear the vocal unless I turn 1 track down, I also tried to clone 1 track to make 2 tracks and the same result I have to turn one all the way down to hear the other, I have done this before recording electric guitar direct from the amp to have 2 guitar tracks, anyone have this problem

Sounds like you've inverted the phase on one of those vocal tracks which will cause cancellation if played together. Check the phase on either.
