Hi, is the capacitor situation in the uploaded photo:
- problematic (= capacitor leakage?)
- not problematic (= glue to keep the capacitor in place?)

I'm not sure...

I am not too sure either, but I have seen components like that with glue around them. Perhaps with larger components like capacitors, they are more likely to shake themselves loose during transport of any sort. If it is quite solid , it should be fine If it is like a gel/liquid, i would suspect leakage.

I just did a google search on this, and it is common for capacitors like that to be glued onto circuit boards.

Yes, it is glue but some do not know that some of the glue they used becomes a darker color and conducts in hi humidity. In my case I change the caps for new ones and at the same time get rid of the glue. The glue was a government forced regulation that came from hair brained people probably for the purpose of selling glue. It is totally never needed and I have yet in 45 years of service ever seen a capacitor come off a board. If you solder well there is never a need for glue.
We are not taking these into space.
