Undo?

Hi,

I'm a little lost in the UNDO function and need some help

By accident I have overwritten one of my tracks. When I press the UNDO button (it lits up) the "previous"situation is back, but HOW do make this situation the "default"again so that my old track is available whit out using the UNDO button?
