US 2x2 Driver (4.0.0) problem - sample outages

Hi,
I've just bought a US 2x2, and installed the 4.0.0 driver. It works basically out of the box, but from time to time (about a minute apart), a sample is dropped and for a brief moment, there is silence in the output. Could you please help me figure out how to fix this?

• I am using a Win 10, up to date ThinkPad notebook
• When I use output (Mixing driver 1/2 for US 2x2 & US 4x4), the sample dropping problem occurs. For both the drivers.
• For output (2- US 2x2), the problem is even more severe, and on a few occasions, the sample drop rate grew so high that the output became just a noise (by ear, the dropped samples outnumbered the successful ones)
• Samples are missing in both Phones and Line out.
• I am powering the US 2x2 via USB
• I tried to use a different Win 10 ThinkPad. The problems are the same

Any tips on what to try to do about it?

same problem with win7
I solved it by updating the system USB driver and making a clean installation of the Tascam drivers
Look at the model of the ThinkPad notebook you have, look for the name of the usb drivers on the official ThinkPad website, search in the network for an updated version
