Tascam 2488
Hi,

Given that in my new set-up, I will have to be a distance away from the recorder, here is my issue:

I normally use (and like) Auto-punch, setting the "in" and "out" points and going at the music repeatedly as needed, as opposed to punching manually while playing.

Does the pedal (the RC-30P) made by Tascam for the 2488 offer any functions having to do with being able to re-start an auto-punch? This would not be necessary for shorter "in/out" punches, but if I want to lay down a whole vocal and then try again, the ability to stop/restart before the auto "out" point (3mins or so away) will make a difference.

The later pedal, the RC-3F, is listed for other machines, but I don't know if it works with the 2488 in the way I want. However, this series pedal has the ability to be "programmed" (apparently.)

I have searched high and low and there is very little pedal-information to be had, other than I can have the original 2488 pedal (the RC-30P) punch in/out manually on the 2488.

If an off-brand pedal will do the job for less, even better.
Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Claus.
