Has anyone used this unit with Audacity? I'm thinking of buying one, but I don't have a clue how it saves MP3 or WAV files on the computer. I don't see anything about that in the documentation.

It appears Audacity can't be compiled with ASIO for licensing reasons.

You should still be able to record track by track in audacity though, just might not be as intuitive or stable.

If you are looking at dropping the cash to buy one of these interfaces I would suggest you spend a tiny bit extra and get a real multitrack recording DAW like Reaper (so cheap, but you can try it free for a decent period of time). Pro Tools First (free but restricted) Studio one Prime (free)

Reaper it is. Thanks friend!

By the way, I did find an ASIO enabled Audacity build but it appears that Reaper is a better bet.

Ah, I thought there must be something available. Reaper is used by a lot of people, I use it for plain audio projects on my laptop because it doesn't have any bloat. Whatever you choose, stick with it and learn the hotkeys - sooo much faster for editing especially.
