DR-22WL not working after update

Update was from DR-22WL_C_125.214 to DR-22WL_C_126.215

I have tried two memory cards both erased multiple times.

I would try two things:

First (probably NOT the problem, but you never know...), make sure the Hold button on the left side of the recorder has not been switched to the Hold position. That disables all of the buttons.

Second, try a COMPLETE reset to "factory new" condition. Turn off the recorder, then REMOVE the batteries, and WAIT for at least an hour to allow internal stored memory settings to reset.
Install a fresh set of batteries, and turn the recorder on. It should behave like the first time you turned it on (prompting to set the date/clock, etc). If this doesn't work I guess you're at the mercy of TASCAM Support...
