DR-44WL: Channel 4 button doesn't work

I just cannot make the channel four work. The button will not even lighten up when I try to record something. I can change the input level for channel 4 but cannot make it record anything. Any suggestions?

If you activate the Dual Recording function, this will reduce the number of channels you can record with.
