Hi Everyone, I'm very happy with my 2488neo for home recording. When recording drums, I use a Focusrite 8 ch. preamp/compressor. The guitars go direct through a Sansamp bass preamp and Line 6 POD. I'm content with the 2488's preamp for my drum machine, sampler, and even vocal mics. For monitoring, I use a Presonus HP4 and Yamaha HS series monitors. I've been here before - years ago. Everyone was very helpful with my questions. Good to be back! Glenn
