Hello,

I have a Tascam HD-P2 portable stereo recorder I've had for quite some time. Recently I've been getting a message every time I plug a CF memory card into it, it says " Please wait..." and has a circle just spinning around. It will not let me do anything until I take the memory card out or power it off. I've tried multiple memory cards even bought new ones. I noticed there was one pin in the middle of the card reader that was a little bent. I got some tools and was able to bend it up but im not 100% sure its making a good connection. I can read these CF memory cards just fine on my computer too.

I am trying to avoid having to send it back and spend hundreds of dollars for Tascam to even take a look at it. If anyone has any advice on what i can try to do to fix this or make it work it would be greatly appreciated.

All the best

Maybe a little too Late but.
Acquire an Extreme CF Card Adaptor of Ebay.
Also a Micro SD High Speed 8 gb or 16 gb card.
Fit Micro card into Adaptor and you should be OK.
This recorder Doesn't Seem to like High gb Cards.
Good Luck.
