How can I record a click track from the DP24 to a track?

I have one very basic question and I can't believe it's so difficult to find the answer: I just want to record a click track on one of the tracks before starting any song, is there a simple way to do this with the DP24 without needing to transfer a basic beat from EZ Drummer 2 to my DP24? I presume I do this with the 'metronome' and set it to 'record' (and set the tempo), but how do I record that click track to track 1 for the length of time I need the song?

There is no internal route from the metronome to the tracks; it only goes to the monitor output - see Block Diagram (on the dp32sd at least). You could connect a cable from a monitor output to an input, but you'd have to watch out for feedback loops.

Thank you for your feedback, much appreciated. I spent a lot of time trying to find out how to set up a click internally so it's nice to know it wasn't actually possible haha. I'll just record a simple drum track from EZ Drummer 2 and use that as a click. Thx again.

There is a 'metronome' button on the right side of the DP24.
