Import file too large error

I just go my DP-03SD. I'm getting the error "import file too large" when trying to import a wav file to track.
I have the 4gb sd card. Then only thing on the card is the demo song and a new empty one I created.
The wav file is 5.3 MB which I have copied to the WAV folder on sd card. I seems there is still 1.6mb free on sd card.

Any advice?

If you didn't make a typo with MBs or GBs the issue could be that 1.6 MB is really too tight to be left free on the card.

However, I assume you did make a typo, and then a possibility is that your .wav file is not of the right specs for your song. Sample rate should be the same and possibly also bit depth (but I'm not sure about the latter). Stereo / mono could also be an issue I guess, but others more knowledgeable about these machines can tell you for certain.

Yes. Typo. 1.6 GB.
You were correct, it was the sample rate and bit depth. I ran the wave file through an online Wav to Wav converter and set the correct values. I was then able to import track.
