In/out/to marker spacing

I want to nudge an early snare hit just a little. The length of the snare waveform signature are marked properly as the in/out points. The nudge is pretty small, thus the "to" point lies within the space between the in and out points. the resulting error upon execute request is "I/O too short". What can I do?

Just an idea from when I used a similar device: Move the selection a fixed time away, and then move it back the fixed time minus the nudge amount you need. So for example, you want to move a 50 ms selection 10 ms back (inside the selection), then use 110 ms back (outside the selection) and then 100 ms forward (also outside the selection now).
