Just got off the phone with my tascam supplier ...tascam/Teac has been bought by Gibson ...all hardware for DM series boards... Gone ...no parts ..no cards ...no warrenty ....nothing gone...so if your like me and run your studio on a DM board...3200 or 4800 ...you better track down some FireWire cards ...analog cards.. Or whatever you use to connect your awesome board to your computer ...and buy them as quick as you can ....because other than used ....there are no more.....period..sad friggin day ...

This is old "news". Search the forum for related threads. Gibson acquired Tascam/TEAC in 2013. What you are saddened about is when Tascam (under new Gibson management) discontinued the DM series in 2014 starting with the DM4800 and then the DM3200 in April 2017. The DM3200/4800 Series spanned the years of 2006-2017. Not too bad for a hardware run, even more so being that they were Tascam products. The series was end-of-life so it wasn't a surprise that it was discontinued. The real tragedy was Gibson's decision to abandon the digital mixer business citing that the digital mixer was a dead market which to this day is far from the truth. Gibson chose to forego a standard Tascam/TEAC tradition of providing quality semi-pro equipment that was affordable for the home and small project studio audience.
