Hi folks,

well, I was wondering how to use the internal metronome to record a click track. Is that possible? Couldn't figure it out by myself yet. I would want to record the click track on i.e., channel A, later add stero drums on 2/3, bass on 4, keys on 5/6 and two guitars on 7/8. While recording all that, I would like to have a click track in my headphones...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

The OM says the metronome cannot be recorded. But the signal is available on the monitor bus. I suppose you could take one of the monitor out rca jacks and connect it to an available input.

Hi Mark:
I didn't think of the monitor output. Should have a look at the diagram more often...
Thanks for pointing me to that. I'll give it a try!

Thanks a lot!

But why record the click track if it's already available on the monitor bus?

Hi Arjan,

hm, your comment made me think. I then tested it. Ok, got me! The click is synchronized witht the tracks recorded. Even after powering off the machine and restarting again, the click sticks to it. I had assumed it would be out-of-sync after powering...

take care,
Wulf

The only reason I can think of would be if you just need a 4beat count-in at the start of a song.:?:
