I want to record with my tascam 38 and at the same time record it to my ADC into my computer as a backup. I was thinking to do that with the outputs of the tascam 38, because they are in monitor mode when recording. Obviously it will work, but what about the sound? Would it degrade the sound because it is passing through electronics on the monitor side? Maybe it is better to just using a post-preamp splitter cable - one that goes to the tascam and one that goes into pro tools?
