So I replaced my eraser head but I forgot where the groundwire connects from the playback/record head goes. I tried multiple different spots it could go but nothing seemed to work. when I put my tape in the meters don't work anymore and the audio is really low and noisy, it wasn't doing that before. Can anyone post a pic of where the ground wire is from the playback/record head so I can get it back to working order. thanks

I would just look at the service manual as it tells where things go for all components.
Usually per track there is a coil that the oscillator goes into for that track you just measure the coil and attach that hot bias wire to it. Sometimes there can be common grounds and so having a lifted ground to the oscillator means none of the erase coils are connected and that no load situation to the oscillator will cause havoc.

Anyone sitting on the service manual to share?
