Tascam DP-03SD

When I import my wav file (not a stereo file), Tascam automatically posts to track 1/2. Each other wav file that is imported posts to 3/4, 5/6, 7/8
Is there a way of adjusting the Tascam to only post to individual tracks. ie: 1, 2, 3, etc.?

Are You sure that is a mono file?

It is a stereo file. I guess I need to convert the file to mono.
Any suggestions?

If It's a stereo file You have to convert in mono on your PC before to import in to the DP03.
When You try to import a stereo file the DP03 recognize It like stereo and can import only like stereo Wav on a pair of Tracks.

For converting to mono, you can use something like Audacity (free). Here's a couple videos I found for you on the subject:

Not sure where the the source of your WAV files are (like if you are exporting audio from a DAW), but maybe it is also an option there to export as mono.

That's cool. I didn't know about Oceanaudio - I will have to check that out.

It's an essential piece of audio editor, not multitrack like Audacity, but so easy to use and Vst compatible with realtime effects.

Can I convert mp3 files to wav in Oceanaudio?

Sure You can open mp3, save to wav and wav to mp3 etc
